Programs
Eligibility
Anyone having a problem with alcohol or other drugs, or who is affected by substance use, is eligible for ARC Manor’s programs. For more information, or to make a referral, contact our Admissions Department at 724-548-7607 or 1-800-323-1333.
Referrals
Referrals are accepted from family, friends, physicians, psychologists, clergy, schools, mental health professionals, case managers, social and health care agencies, employers, and the judicial system. In addition, people in need of help are encouraged to refer themselves to ARC Manor and may do so by calling our 24 hour warmline: 1-800-323-1333.
Locations
All of our services are currently being provided at our Kittanning office.
Telehealth services are being offered for our Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient programs.
Treatment Programs
Residential
This service is a variable length inpatient program for adults with alcohol and other drug problems. The program consists of individual and group therapy, medical and nutritional services, life skills training, recovery management, and twelve step recovery meetings.
Intensive Outpatient
This program consists of group counseling and education and meets either three mornings or evenings each week.
Nurse Navigator
This program consists of appointments with the nurse to address concerns related to physical or mental health well being in order to coordinate care and help improve your quality of life. All clients enrolled in any of our programs are eligible for the Nurse Navigator program.
Medication Assisted Treatment
This program offers an initial evaluation and continued medication management for Buprenorphine and Sublocade which helps to reduce cravings and support long-term recovery. In order to enroll in this program, you must be an active client in treatment.
Co-Occurring Disorders
All of our programs provide specialized services to people with both addiction and mental health concerns. Services include psychiatric evaluations, medication management, individual and group therapy, drug/alcohol and mental health education and skills groups.
Outpatient Programs
Individual and group therapy are provided. Availability of these groups is determined by a sufficient roster of at least 5 participants. Some of the specialized groups that can be offered include:
Recovery Management Group
This is an open group for adult males and females with a substance use disorder who have a history of recurrence and need to focus on prevention. The groups meets one time per week for 90 minutes with topics including identification of high-risk triggers for recurrence and building concrete and specific plans for preventing recurrences. The recommended length of treatment is 8 to 24 weeks.
Repeat Offenders
The purpose of the group is to break the cycle of repeated offenses and alcohol and other drug abuse. Topics covered in this group include alcohol and drub use/abuse, denial, criminal thinking and attitudes and preparation for a crime-free lifestyle. The recommended length of treatment is 24 hours.
Adolescent Services
The adolescent program is able to meet with individuals under 19 with a drug and/or alcohol problem in the office or these services are also available at Armstrong Jr.-Sr. High School and West Shamokin Jr.-Sr. High School. Treatment for adolescents are individualized and tailored to meet the needs of the client and family.
Wellness Group
This group is designed to improve the overall quality of life for individuals in recovery. Topics include emotional and physical health, social needs, environmental and intellectual domains, and financial and spiritual issues.
Gambling Treatment
This service is designed to meet the specific needs of individuals struggling with problem gambling. These services are provided by a counselor trained in problem gambling competency. Individuals do not need to have co-occurring substance use to receive this service.
Legal Offenders
This group occurs on a weekly basis and focuses on helping participants honestly examine their alcohol and other drug usage, to break down denial, to identify and change criminal thinking, and to change the behavior that led to their involvement with the criminal justice system. The recommended length of treatment ranges from 12 to 24 hours.
Women’s Trauma Group
No two people experience trauma in the same way. Sometimes trauma has occurred but may not be recognized immediately. In this program, you’ll learn some tools you can use in your day-to-day lives to soothe and ground yourselves. This group is geared towards working with women to manage the effects of trauma. It is approximately a 9-week program that is designed to help you gain insight and skills in order to better deal with the effects of trauma in your lives.
Outreach
ARC Manor provides a large selection of outreach services to the community. These services are provided to students, parents, churches, school personnel, businesses, social service agencies, health care professionals, civic clubs as well as the community at large.
